Book Talk: The Global South and Comparative Constitutional Law

Listen here for a conversation between co-editor of the IACL Blog, Dinesha Samararatne and Philipp Dann, where they discuss the recent publication of ‘The Global South and Comparative Constitutional Law’, co-edited by Philipp Dann, Michael Riegner and Maxim Bönnemann (published by Oxford University Press, 2020).

In discussing the introduction to this co-edited volume, Dinesha and Philipp explore the concept of the global south and the idea of the ‘Southerly turn’, as presented in the book. They further discuss the implications of the arguments presented in this book for comparative constitutional law from an epistemological perspective, but also in terms of its implications for how we engage in scholarship.
