This special issue builds on the research project Constitutions4Peace which explores the role of constitutional design in sustaining peace and preventing future atrocities.

The Call for Papers for the IACL Roundtable ‘Today’s Emergencies and Wars - A Challenge to International Law and Constitutional Frameworks’ closes on 1 Feb 2026.The Roundtable will be held at Uppsala University on 4-5 May 2026.

Applications are now open for the upcoming workshop titled The Science of Democracy Beyond Disciplines endorsed by the Research Network The Sciences of the Democracies as part of the ECPR Joint Sessions of Workshops, held in person at the University of Innsbruck, 7-10 April 2026.

The International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL-AIDC) is pleased to announce its Junior Scholars Forum and the “Foro Iberoamericano de Jóvenes Constitucionalistas”, to be held online and hosted by the UNAM Institute for Legal Research and the Iberoamerican Institute of Constitutional Law on March 4, 6, 11, 13 and 18, 2026.

Constitutional Studies is now accepting submissions for its 2026 issues in English, French, and Spanish! Constitutional Studies is an international open access, double-blind peer reviewed academic journal published twice annually by the Comparative Constitutions Project and the International Association of Constitutional Law.

This year, we invite scholars from the U.S. and abroad to examine how courts function within political systems and how they respond to political pressures and shape broader political development, particularly during pivotal moments. We welcome abstracts from emerging scholars, including graduate students, across all areas and methodological approaches of public law.

The University of Texas at Austin invites submissions for an interdisciplinary conference on Contemporary Political Myth and Reality in Eurasia, taking place February 12-13, 2026, at the University of Texas at Austin. Proposals are due October 15, 2025.

The European Yearbook of Constitutional Law (EYCL) invites submissions for its eighth volume (2026), which will focus on the theme Social Rights and Constitutional Justice

The Editors of Hart Studies on Judging and the Courts invite proposals from emerging scholars to participate in this Symposium, entitled ‘Fresh Perspectives on Judging’.

Proposals of no more than 500 words speaking to the theme should be submitted to Rukky Otive-Igbuzor at UCL by 12pm UK time on Friday 25th April 2025.

The Roundtable aims to empirically and critically assess the extent to which constitutional and international human rights frameworks reflect and amplify the voices of individuals.
