Call for papers

The Melbourne School of Government encourages you to submit an abstract, for its second biennial conference, to be held in Melbourne, Australia.

This conference has four broad themes:

  • Twenty-first century challenges for liberal democracy
  • Innovative approaches to these challenges
  • The complex inter-connections between (violent) conflict and democracy
  • Current debates around illiberal and radical democracy.

A forum for high-quality dialogue and debate

This two day conference will encourage dialogue between policy-makers, practitioners and academics from a wide variety of backgrounds. The format will include plenary sessions with keynote speakers on the major themes, followed by panel sessions with research/issues papers presented. Conference papers will be published in an edited collection.

Funding

The MSoG has limited discretionary funding to support successful presenters, whose home institutions/work places are unable to provide funding.
