/Nuit du Droit at UCD: Democracy, the Rule of Law and Artificial Intelligence
On 13 October 2026, UCD Sutherland School of Law will host a Nuit du Droit on “Democracy, the Rule of Law and Artificial Intelligence: Rethinking Power in the Digital Age.”
The event will explore how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are reshaping questions of power, democracy and the rule of law. The programme will include an opening address by Laurent Pech, Dean of UCD Sutherland School of Law, an address by Céline Place, French Ambassador to Ireland, and a panel on “Who Governs in the Age of AI? Law, Democracy and Digital Power”, moderated by Marie-Luce Paris and featuring Camille Bordere, Edoardo Celeste, Gerard Hogan and Ketevani Kukava. A student panel and public Q&A will follow.
The event is held as part of the Nuit du Droit and Journées du Droit initiatives and is open to students, academics and the wider public.
