Announcement: Centre for Constitutions in Context Inaugural Lecture (Online)

The newly established Centre for Constitutions in Context (CCC) at Warwick Law School (WLS) invites you to join us for our Inaugural Lecture, delivered by the renowned and influential scholar and practitioner of constitutional law, Jill Cottrell Ghai.

Jill will be discussing Context in Comparative Constitutional Law.

Date: 16 September 2025

Time: 2pm-3:30pm BST

Format: Online, via an MS Teams town hall

Educated at the LSE and Yale Law School, Jill Cottrell Ghai taught law for over 40 years at universities across the globe, including the University of Warwick. Jill also advised on the constitution-making processes of several countries, including East Timor, Nepal, Maldives, Iraq, and Somalia. Since 2008, she has played a pivotal role in promoting knowledge, and facilitating the implementation, of Kenya’s 2010 Constitution, including as co-founder and, currently, chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Katiba Institute.
