Institute for Self-Government Studies Research Fellowships

The Institute for Self-Government Studies - Institut d'Estudis de l'Autogovern, IEA, is inviting applications for visiting research fellowships. The call for applications is open until February 4 2019. These grants are part of their program to promote research on self-government, federalism, intergovernmental relations and territorial minorities.

They specifically welcome comparative research projects in which Catalonia is one among other case-studies either from a qualitative or quantitative perspective. Applicants must have a strong research profile and belong to one of the following fields of research: law, economics, political and social sciences.

Successful applicants will receive 1.800€ per month during a minimum of three and a maximum of six months research stage. Travel expenses (return flight) will be covered. They will be hosted by a research group from a Catalan public university or research center.

Applications will be selected and evaluated on the basis of the quality of the project, alignment with goals of the IEA, the strength of their CV and hosting research group records.
